The Story

This kind of tells the entire story, doesn't it:

That steep drop in traffic? July 7th.

and it has scared away what little potential players allods had left :P even I will admit I no longer have interest in coming back after reading everyone's comments on the patch

Yeah, the changes have left me cold. The good thing about the old system was you could wait things out to avoid the cost if you wanted to, and I was happy doing that, and paying money for stuff like waters, bags and such. With the new system, you're not getting anywhere without buying incense.

LOL
I laughed so hard reading this

I used to love allods , i had a level 28 warrior on League and i used this site all the time for my treasure help and quest help
It was a good game

Now it's junk and i think they will go bankrupt / out of business.

Do you have an update on this? While the population is usually indicated as low I usually often find people around in the high traffic areas - mind you I play on the EU servers. Also, from what I hear many of the issues that scared players away have been addressed (I'm a new player so I wouldn't know the good from the bad and the ugly).

Jinday, sorry I don't. I haven't followed Allods at all since this post.

Allods has come a long way and made a lot of positive changes since this patch. Incense is now an item no longer required, there is now no penalty upon death except for waiting in purgatory for a short duration (no fussing about holy charms and cursed items), monsters within 1 or 2 levels of you are relatively easy to kill, and the community is expanding rapidly! They've also worked out a lot of bugs so the game is much more smooth, and the GMs are more in touch with the players on a daily basis. Give it a try sometime if you're ever bored or something and check it out. And btw I still use your guide when I make a new character or just plain get stuck! good stuff :D

Thanks for the update Snorx. It's nice to hear that the game has progressed, and that this blog is still useful!
